I remember that Tuesday morning 11 years ago.  I woke up like any other morning, started my morning routine to get ready to go to work at my part-time job at church.  The hubby called me from his work and told me to turn the television on.

From that moment on, my life has changed…just like everyone else.

I don’t want to focus this post on the actual 9/11 events, though.

I simply want to take a moment to say that I am extremely proud to be an American.  I’m proud of my son, and all the others, who serve our country day after day to help keep us safe and to help protect the freedoms that we have.

I am a Marine Mom and today, as with every other day, I’m proud.  And thankful. And blessed.

May you also be blessed today and always.
